First stages of new chairlift construction get underway
Glencoe Mountain in Scotland has just announced it’s been granted planning permission to build a works track for their proposed new Plateau access chair which will link from the top of the main access chair to the base of the Spring Run.
The new chair will vastly reduce queue times at the existing Plateau poma while also giving access further up the hill in lean snow years. Construction on the track is to begin immediately with work on the actual chair expected soon after (possibly as early as this year, if conditions allow).
It is hoped the new Plateau access chair will be operation for the 2018/19 season.
